AERC-World Bank offers Robert S. McNamara Fellowships Program for candidates currently enrolled in a PhD program that is located outside their home country and in a member country of the World Bank. The students of developing countries can apply for these fellowships. Up to US$25,000 for a 5-10 month period between December 2013 and November 2014 for travel and conduct PhD studies/research are awarded.
About Scholarship: Up to US$25,000 for a 5-10 month period between December 2013 and November 2014 for travel and conduct PhD studies / research at the Office of the Chief Economist of the Africa Region at the World Bank. The research proposal must be endorsed by her/his PhD thesis advisor. The Fellows will be assigned a mentor with common interests, and adequate office space and equipment to undertake their research. Each Fellow will be expected to give a seminar during the course of her stay. The output of the Fellow will be reviewed by two senior staff at the Bank, and recommendations made to help with its publication.
